I didn't see this posted yet (apologies if it was). Andy Katz has an article about XU pulling away in the A10. Here's the link:

warning: this national article about the musketeers contains the word 'swagger'.... for those who don't like the use of that word, substitute 'swashbuckle'.

Re: A little pub from ESPN/Katz
I saw the praise too.
It is funny to see an article by Katz to the effect that we are dominating the A10 right above that article by Grinch or whatever her name is, to the effect that we have a lot to prove after losing to Temple and beating GW on the road. If you read some of the posts in response to her article, it makes me think that the gang was sitting around the table discussing what to do about ol' Zavier, and decided they needed to respond with a positive article. I think it was a very strategic move. Granted, we did just beat a short-handed Dayton team at home and Umass on the road, and are now 15th in every poll but the RPI (11th), and two wins in conference is a big deal. But there are still a lot conference games left, and I don't see how this week could completely change espn's view on us. Out talent is the same as it was before, and we have come back with nice runs after each down game. We just had an early conference stumble. We also got props in Katz's Weekly Watch... but we are on the periphery, i.e. three line honorable mentions on the right side. They play such a political game keeping various fan bases coming back for more.

I think Andy Katz is probably the only talking head that calls it like it is. If you ever look at the Power 16 that comes out I believe on Thursday you can see how each analyst voted. If you take a close look you will see that Katz votes based on data, Vitale has his head up the rear of the programs from the "Big 6" which isn't really shcoking. We should be happy about the pub from Katz, the rest of the "analysts" from ESPN should be taken out back and told to pick only one side of the fence to be on.

All the while, too often, some MM posters want to disect, analyze, every piece of positive comments in the media re: Xavier's 2007-08 success.
Bottom line .... recruits from around the country read (watch) ESPN & other venues and are impressed. Impressions lead to visits, visits lead to committments .... so back off. Enjoy!
