The Big East, probably because of the intense media coverage it has gotten, was regularly getting multiple at-large bids - sometimes as many as 7 or 8 teams invited. So even the teams in the middle of the conference standings have been getting invitations. Let's face it, the number of people following the different conferences has an impact on the selection committee.

One person has repeatedly attacked XU! Wonder if it is a very very unhappy UC fan?
If anything, the data suggests the committee needs to pick more big conference teams if you want to actually take the best teams.
