Just Purchased Xavier in a Calcutta and need to know...

I represent a group of of some key Dallas business execs who bought Xavier in a Calcutta last night. We thought it was a good buy at $75,000. (A great Value buy for our little group)

We have never seen Xavier play basketball, but now, we are there biggest fans in town.

Who should we be focusing on, cheering for, and who is going to let us down.

Good luck my Dad gets in a Calcutta every year (albeit not quite the one that draws $75 large on a 3 seed), those pools are insane.

West is the best bracket to try to break though.

A little about our muskies:

It all starts at the pg with the little engine to our team Drew Lavender. He is only 5'7'' but he more then makes up for his size with his ability. He shoots 40% from 3 while he is a driver who can break down defenses and either shoot his teardrop shot or pass and find the open player. He has a assist turnover of 3.5 to 1 which is ridiculously good. Also is a great foul shooter like most of our team. We have 4 guys shooting over 85% from the line

Our shooting guard is Stanley Burrell. He has been a big scoring threat in the past but is a more team oriented player this year. He is our lockdown perimeter defender and generally guards the other teams best perimeter player and usually always shuts them down.

Our Big Man Josh Duncan is a great all around player.At 6'9'' he is a difficult assignment for the other teams big man because he shoots 42% from 3 as well as can put the ball on the ground and take it to the hole.

Our power forward Derrick Brown is a great all around athlete and if you guys have never seen him you will like him because he's bound to throw down a couple nasty dunks a game.

Cj Anderson is another forward who is a slasher. His main goal is to provide us toughness in the middle. He rarely if never shoots the ball outside of 10 ft.

Key Subs, Bj Raymond(3 point shooter), Jason Love(tough center down low who can score under the basket and get tough rebounds), Dante Jackson (backup guard who gives breaks to lavender and burrell)

I'm guessing the fan support will probaly be 50/50. arizona is a long trip to make for either team being on the other side of the country.

I recall after the collapse of the oil market in '85 (thank your Ronnie) bumper stickers were seen all over in these parts that said:

Well God granted their wish, but paying $75K in a calcutta (and $140K for UNC) they are again pissing it away. Oil people always have, always will.
