I know this will get moved, but in the meantime....
X has signed 6'0" forward Lynette Holmes of Bogan HS. She's projected as one of the top 5 seniors in the Chicago area, and her Bogan team (Chicago Public League) is ranked #8 preseason in the Chicagoland area.

Kevin McGuff is a great recruiter. Now if only he could coach an offense... I'm still waiting for the team to win an NCAA game under him. Hopefully it happens this year given that we are hosting NCAA tourney Rds 1&2 next spring, and again in 2011.

Yes, the postseason hasn't been kind to McGuff's teams, and it usually seems like the wounds are self-inflicted (poor shooting, too many turnovers).

I agree completely. It seems that in the past seasons McGuff has had no control over the offense whatsoever. If he can get Amber to play inside out instead of outside in, this team could be very very formidable.

I don't think they can play at home if you host a game. Last year Nationwide Arena in Columbus held the 1st & 2nd round so OSU played there.

No matter the seed Xavier will play the 1st and 2nd round games at home for the next 2 years. In women's basketball if you are a host and make the tourney than you automatically get the first two games at home!

great round 1 and 2 at home for tournament!
this team is off to great start, has loads of talent, but I still haven't seen a team focused offense. I agree Mc Guff needs more control of offense for a run in the tourney

I will respectfully disagree. Defense def win championships! The last couple years we've lacked consistent outside shooting and teams have just packed it in which has made our offense look terrible at times, but with Katie, Tyeasha, and Special we have 3 more consistent shooters, especially Tyeasha and Katie.

One key is the high low pass from Amber Harris to T Phillips.
