Seeing some progress

Postby Mr. Neutral » Wed Feb 27, 2013 10:22 am

Last year's team was 8-20 overall and 5-9 in the A10, before losing to LaSalle by 3 in the 1st round of the A10 tourney.

This year's team is 11-15 overall, 5-7 in the A10, and currently on a 4-game winning streak. They finish up with winnable games at home against GW (12-14) and on the road at UMass (3-24).

Good luck to Coach Waugh, her staff, and the players on their last 2 conference games, and in the A10 tourney.

Lady Muskies came back and held on for a 65-62 win to go 12-15 overall and 6-7 in the A10, both of which are improvements over last year. They face UMass on the road in their season finale on Saturday. A 7-7 finish in the A10 would be a nice step up from last year's 5-9.

Tonight is the last non-conference game. Perhaps a realistic goal for the team is a .500 record or better in conference play.

It's easy to get spoiled by the recent success of past teams, but I'll root for any Xavier team that is playing hard and giving good effort.
