XU came out as tied at 7 with Texas, interesting comment written that if XU wins out they very well could receive one of the top seeds. I think it's a dream but would be nice to have a 1 or 2.

Its strange to think about indeed but it isn't completely out of the question that XU get a 1 or 2 seed. You're gonna have Duke and UNC beating each other up and then one of them could get upset in the ACC tourney. Memphis is a lock I think. UT could get upset in their tourney. UCLA is very close to a lock. And then Kansas is in a similar position to us where they have to sort've win out and get some help from some other teams.

Unless a bunch of teams fall apart, I think it is EXTREMELY unlikely that X gets 1. I think there's a chance that X get a two, provided they win out. But X would probably need some other teams to lose a game or two.

I agree...X will not get a 1 seed. If you disagree, check out the other forum topic about the 50 bracket projections updated daily. Of those 50, not a single 1 has X as a one seed. Based on all team's projected seeds, we average out at a 3.

As far as the Power 16 is concerned, Hubert Davis is a turd. He has us as his 13th best team. We actually dropped in his rankings from the previous week. I don't know what his problem is, but he sure is letting his "Big 6" conference bias show.

I think if we win out and win the A-10 tourney, we will be a 2 seed for sure, and only a 1 seed if something goes very wrong in the current top 5.

If we only lose one game between now and March Madness, as long as it is to one of the stronger RPI teams, I think we still get a 3 seed.

I was definitely being optimistic with my analysis. And yes it would take a big breakdown from a couple of teams for us to get a number 1 seed, I was just saying that I thought it was possible.

Assuming we win out, we should be guaranteed a 2 seed. Right now ESPN's bracketology has us getting a 2 seed in the East (Charlotte) region with UNC as the number 1. http://proxy.espn.go.com/ncb/bracketology
