Per Dustin Dow:
"Scoop Snow reported this earlier this week -- so he should get the credit -- but Mike Bobinski did confirm to me today that it looks like Xavier will enter into a home-and-home with Butler beginning next season, starting at Xavier.
Bobinski also said that XU is in negotiations for a big made-for-TV type of game with a big-name school for next season. He didn't name names because the deal isn't done, but he was enthusiastic about it."

Excellent! Can't wait for the return game at Hinkle, either.

Any idea who this made-for-TV matchup could be with?

This is just guesswork, but I'm thinking Xavier will play in the Coaches For Cancer Games that are held each year at MSG!
The opponent .... Perhaps Duke or one of the other ACC schools ... Wake Forest?

I goofed. The Wake Forest series begins in the 09-10 season at Cintas when Skip will be inducted into the X Hall of Fame.
Next season, a good friend tells me, Xavier will play Duke in the Meadowlands in a Coaches v. Cancer game.

I'm almost positive it isn't Duke, When Skip was coaching I seem to recall several times he wanted to schedule Duke, but Duke wouldn't play us. I don't think that would change now, given that we are better now, than we were then.

we did play duke, at cameron, pretty sure it was a late schedual addition by duke, but getting them out of cameron would be nice
