I have no use whatsoever for CSTV...all it does is alienate people from being able to see one of the best games of the year, not just locally but nationally...I mean, both XU and UD are in the Top 25, very heated rivals...and this game is buried on a sh!t channel with most of the country unable to see it...
Why we ever signed an agreement with this network is beyond me...and no one can tell me it is benefitting us...especially if the game is on the road and half of Cincy/NKy cannot even get the channel at a sports bar!!
Yeah, great nationally reaching network.
CSTV is worthless

Agree 1,000%.
Of course, because the Blue Jackets are on, even if this was on FSN Ohio Cleveland area XU fans would be screwed. Not really sure how this one did not get on ESPN or ESPN2.

It's not on ESPN because the A-10 doesn't have a contract with ESPN. It has one with CSTV. And that isn't going anywhere, so we might as well suck it up and figure out how to watch our teams.

It didn't get on because the cryers have s$cked for the last 3 years and no one outside of the A10 cared about them. If they can keep the success for more than a year, maybe they can help get this game back on ESPN.xu9697 wrote:Agree 1,000%.

I'm just thankful my package with my cable company has CSTV as part of what I get. I'm even happier I'm close enough that I can travel the 1 1/2 to the game. Just hope the weather cooperates.
It's time for a bourbon on the rocks!

Re: CSTV is worthless
The other thing that bugs me about CSTV is that there is a CSTV HD channel on Direct TV, BUT I have yet to see a game broadcast in HD. What's the point of having a channel that doesn't broadcast any games in HD. It defeats the purpose.

Re: CSTV is worthless
Everyone in cincy/NKY that has twc can get CSTV, and many other channels that carry basketball, for three bucks extra a month (at least that is what i paid last year upon hearing the number of games on cstv). It is going to be on channel 176 Thursday on TWC. 3 dollars more a month and you can watch the Xavier game. Is that seriously not worth it?

The A10 does have a contract with ESPN, however ESPN did not choose this as one of the games to televise. As far as I know, CSTV is available everywhere for those who want it.

Re: CSTV is worthless
It may not be an ideal set-up but the majority of folks who want to watch the game on TV should be able to do so, even if it means they have to pay extra for it or go to a Sports Bar. I'll be at the game, so I guess I fall in the lucky category.
Good as drink is, it ends in thirst.
