Beaknose goes down hard!

Postby Masterofreality » Sun Feb 24, 2008 8:46 pm

If anyone saw the end-game of the Luckeyes game, you saw some horrifically designed offense 3 straight times down the floor with the Lucks down by 3. Pinocchio's boy Diebler made only one shot all game and just fell down after receiving a pass near the end making Toucan use a time out. Yep, the deal with the devil has expired allright. There are no Lionel Chalmers' to bail him out this year. The "genius" had an endgame offense that was eerily similar to Beelzebob's strategy meltdowns.

Billy Packed-Head kept showing sympathy about Beakey's bad back and how he "lost 70% of his offense from last year." Uh, excuse me.

The beak recruited those guys from last year knowing they're for 1 year. He put all of his eggs in one basket and, for all that, came within an in-and-out free throw of going out of the Dance on the first weekend last year. Now he's playing with all own recruits for the first time in his head coaching career instead of living off of the prior guys. The back? Just Satan's revenge, that's all. No sympathy, sorry.

From the penthouse of last year to the "out"house That would be "out" of the Tournament. Have fun in the NIT. I'm sure there will be huge crowds in Furniture Forum for that one.

Oh ho ho State's RPI is now 55. "Going.....DOWN!"

Ah the sweet success after X! Now Matta was a carpetbagger coach. The players got in the zone for themselves and decided to make the DVD "The Run". Matta went for the ride. One free throw made, one flagrant whistle and Matta would have lost vs. X

Remember the comment from the announcer after that time out? He said something like two times out and they come up with that play.

Thad does seem to be walking kind of gingerly, I hope his surgery was successful and he gets back to 100%
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

I called Thad out on the radio show on his lack of a final play when he was with us. I think that is truly his achilles heel... can't finish out a game very often. Thank goodness Coach Miller didn't inherit that trait!

When I read MOR's great post ... I said to myself ... "Before Cinderella leave the ball .. we'll get a defense from Mr Neutral (?)"
Sure enough !!!!
Wonder if Mr Neutral (?) wants to match whatshisname's "close out the game" record with a real coach?
He mentions "osu" a #1 team in the nation against a team Packer/Bilas/Smith) said had no business even being in the field and he mentions the Zags, a Top Ten team against a team with an almost inexperienced point guard playing with a broken wrist.
Weak, real weak!
Best coach/recruiter?
That ain't even close. Like MOR pointed out, he's playing with his own for the very first time in his career .. and it's fun to watch.

Wise, do you ever defend your own positions, or does MOR have to do it for you?

MOR was quick to jump on Matta, and does so at every opportunity, as do you, so who's the more predictable? Plus, how childish is it to not refer to Matta by his name? Geez, grow up, will ya?

When Miller goes 2nd round-2nd round-Elite Eight, we can start comparing. But so far, it's no postseason-1st round (after losing a 9-pt. lead)- 2nd round (after losing an 11-pt. lead to the coach who supposedly can't close out a game).

If and when the crybaby element gets over the fact that Matta left X and went to OSU in a way that the babies don't agree with, we can get past this "he stinks/no, he's good!" argument.

mor, if you don't mind my saying so, it seems as though you devout more attention to, and more passion against ohio state than you should. i'm far past caring whether ohio state/thad matta finish 1st or 101st. i know people who have gone through divorces that four years later are less bitter toward their ex's than you seem to be toward matta.

i don't see the point in talking so much trash, and even if i did i still don't think it would be all that wise. next year's recruiting class is on par with the one that took them to the championship game last year. the fact that they're struggling next year is not an indication that their program is sinking, because it's not.
