At this point they(dayton fans) are probably in shock...kind of like fairfield when they played HCH.

For the most part it was a pretty accomodating crowd. The facility is pretty nice as it appears that it was designed exclusivly for BB. I had a beer or two with some folks up on the flight deck and they all realize that Dayton has no hope at this point and they weren'r too agitated..

No problems. Weakest UD crowd I can remember. They knew their place and inhaled depply from the glove.

no real abuse until the end of the game, one person had an x flag ripped from him while walking on the stairs, and after the final horn sounded, a beer can was launched at the students.

The Dayton crowd was very civil at the game yesterday. The only interaction I had was after the game was over when we were walking out. I Dayton fan tapped me on my shoulder and said "I don't like your jacket, but you have a good team there."

The only issue I had was one of the intelligent ushers tapped me on the shoulder as I walked by and said that my seat was in Cincinnat. I wasn't even looking at my ticket or anything, just walking by. Couldn't figure that one out.

I had a Xavier sweatshirt on and nobody said one word to me before, during, or after the game. I sat way up in the rafters in the Xavier section, but even walking around nobody even looked at me funny. The Dayton fans seemed very apathetic. They sat on their hands for most of the game. The Muskies' play may have had something to do with that, but there was no electricty from UD fans at all. I expected a much more hostile crowd.
Interestingly, I sat in front of the Stanley Burrell contingent (his mom, aunt et al) and they were awesome. Very loud and proud for Stan. After a young Dayton fan (toddler) dropped a toy clapper, Stan's Mom, who was sitting on the aisle, walked down a couple rows picked it up and handed back to the little Flyer. Maybe it was small/nothing, but at the time it struck me as a classy/nice thing to do from an opposing fan. I guess maybe I only felt that way because of reading this board and expecting I'd be lucky to escape Dayton alive. Still it was a good gesture.
