MSU has picked up 3 commitments this past week, a SF, SG and PG. They will not have a scholarship available for another recruit next year, and if they do it will probably open only for a big time player like Amir Williams out of Detroit Country Day. That being said, I think MSU is out of the picture leaving X to be a good option for Reynolds.

Do you know more about this guy? Sounds to me like a project in some phases of the game.
I also read about Amir Williams but the MSU board seems to think if they do offer because Izzo was watching him at a recent AAU even that he would like to stay around home.

He is suppose to be visiting today for the second time with his mother and look for him to commit today. Brian Snow on rivals said he would be a little shocked if he didn't commit on the visit today. He is not ranked currently do to not many people seeing him over the past year or so but is really starting to blow up on the radar. Snow believes when the new rankings come out he will be a Top 100 player.

Question: Is a school permitted to extend more scholarships than, at the moment, are available to it? I know that, for example, football teams sign, e.g., 28 players when only 25 scholarships are available, knowing that they will not renew the yearly scholarships of some current players, and some of the signees will fail to qualify academically or will go to prison.

His visit is why I posted this. I know his MOM wants him to go to X so maybe she can convice him that he is close enough to home. I wish Crawford was walking the halls to tell him he is close to home.

Detroit is closer to Cincinnati than Chicago and I thought, at times, I was too close to home and that was in the days before the Interstates.

Schools can offer as many scholarships as they want. Most leagues will only allow you to take commitments up to the 13 limit +1. I don't what the A10 rule is but the Big10 allows 1 over.
