OK Baloney, I didn't realize you were a UD fan. Are you kidding me? I know I'm obsessed with UD because I'm nervous they may win their first NCAA game this year in 19 years. Of course, they have to make the tourney first. The last time UD won a tourney game, were you even born yet? Your program has loyal fans (although some have batteries in their hand) but unfortunately, the teams are just such a non-event. You're right that the school gets mispronounced and we have the one elite 8, Dayton is never mispronounced primarily because the name is rarely mentioned on Selection Sunday and hasn't been mentioned beyond the first game because you haven't on in 18 years. Even though you guys paid Brooks Hall, you still couldn't win a tourney game. Now that I know who you are, stay on the board and keep drinking the Dayton kool-aid. I can't believe you can actually be pounding your chest with 7 losses so far in conference. Finally, while Pitt and Louisville were good wins on paper, remember, each had 2 starters out when you played them but UD fans forget that but do bring up injuries to Little and Wright. Stay on our board but occasionally go to your board because tomorrow is your Super Bowl. By the way, if we are so obsessed with your fantastic program, why are you on our board so much?

why am i on this board?

the first time i came over here, it was (like many messageboards i have visited in the past)to get perspective from a local team, rival, etc. i have been to wsu's board, miami, uk, iu, louisville, uc, etc many times. i quickly realized
that this board has an obsession with ud. there are constant threads about ud on here, no matter what time of the year. in fact there are some on here who agree with me. ud is irrelevant to x as so many of you say, yet there are constant threads about the flyers on here. i find it fascinating.

we'll see about tomorrow. x should win by all accounts; they are CLEARLY the better team. however i have a funny feeling
you guys are going to be pretty unhappy come 4 o'clock or so.

And just for arguments sake IF dayton were to win today what then? Does ud pass X as a program again? Does the midget keep his job? Do the "Beat Xavier" t-shirts double in production? Do the students riot in the ghetto and chant "overrated?" DOES this propel dayton to an NCAA at-large bid seeing there is absolutely zero chance dayton wins the A10 tourament?

Your answers, NO (except for the t-shirt thing).

Joe, do us all a favor. If you're going to continue to post please use a bit of common sense and enough with the predictions. (See URI, LaSuck and today's game) Obsessed fans you say? What would you consider continously defending your "program" on a Xavier messageboard? But by all means, don't go away, I will miss the "dayton kick Eggsavier's butt next year" talk.

Make sure you wave from the aisle as you walk out of the dump with 10mins to go in the game wearing your bright red "Beat Xavier" t-shirt.

actually, filthy, i won't be at the fine venue that is ud arena (much better place to watch a game than cintas, the atmosphere at ud arena is 100 times more electric than the cement block) , i will be watching in the comfort of my own home.
if ud wins it will keep their at large hopes alive. to say that ud has zero chance of winning the tournament is a little bit of a stretch, isn't it? if wright is back and healthy by then, their odds go up quite a bit. if he is back, they have as good a chance as anyone, except xavier who will be the odds on favorite. of course they were last year, too.

this whole ud has passed xavier as a program thing is hilarious to me. one, ONE ud poster made that silly statement and you guys attach that to all flyer fans. kinda silly, isn't it? does the classless pablo, who goes on a radio station and in front of a live audience at flanagans drops an f-bomb with kids in attendance, represent all you x fans? i wouldn't ever feel comfortable using that language in front of children, would you? very low class, but i would hope it doesn't represent all x fans, just like a stupid statement by 1 flyer fan doesn't represent other viewpoints.
