Sampson's $750,000 buyout means we can officially start worrying.

I am more worried if Xavier will be a 2, 3 or 4 seed. Hopefully Xavier can win out and get the 2 seed which would make it a lot easier to get to the final 4. Hopefully Xavier is in the DC-Detroit region.

I was looking at the IU board and went back 4 pages or so and never saw Miller's name mentioned. I think most IU fans want someone with IU connections. A lot of people are talking about Steve Alford. Dakich, if he does a good job with the interim label, could get the job.

I hate when a national reporter (Forde) makes a list of possible candidates and just throws in coaches from all over the country. Forde doesn't have any idea who IU will be interested in.

I honestly don't see Sean going to IU.

I like this comment regarding Matta from that article;
"He also has a track record of moving around, albeit for jobs that made plenty of sense (Butler to Xavier to Ohio State in short order). Maybe working at a basketball-first school would make sense to a guy toiling in the shadow of king football in Columbus."

Xavierj, I LOVE your post! Xavier University AND the basketball program have MORE important things to be concerned about then alot of what if's and maybe's! Xavier mens basketball is in the process of putting together quite possibility one of it's best ever teams and needs to stay focused on accomplishing the goals that were set for this team at the end of last season! Last years painful loss, was a loss, that for many of us fans, was a reminder on why we LOVE this University and what it stands for! We can NOT forget that THIS University, that all of us LOVE deeply, has over came previous set backs, by GREAT coaches coming and going! 1 coach is NOT as big as the University and the program! Sean Miller is a very good coach, we all know that! Let us as fans savor in this teams success and be focused in on what Coach Miller has done this year with these guys and be ready for the game tomorrow against Dayton. Also, let us as fans be focused on the BIG picture! I know Coach Miller,staff and team sure is! Win or lose I am a Xavier fan!!!

I am guilty as charged for speculating about Miller going to IU. That being said, you're right. We should be talking about what is turning into one the greatest seasons in Xavier history, not this other stuff.
