Ok, now I am calling out the wine and cheese crowd.
Yeah, I know that it was a tough night to get to Cintas. It took me 2 hours to get from Blue Ash to the arena down I-71 last night. Maybe a lot of the regular fans weren't there, but...
I have never seen a Xavier team that puts out the defensive effort on the floor constantly like this Xavier team does. Every guy out there is up in their guy's grille- for all 35 shot clock seconds, and they don't slack. Dookcane's players weren't expecting a guy right under their chin like that. Result? At least twice last night, Xavier forced a team averaging 84 points a game to have shot clock violations. Xavier's "D" only let Dookcane score an opposite number (48)to their season average (84). THAT is noteworthy. So what is wrong?
Look, if the guys out there are working their ass off for you as a fan, is it too much to ask that the fans get off their ass to give them an ovation?
My Lew Hirt Society Brothers and I did last night as did a smattering of others. Jeezus Christmas, people. This team is doing special things. How about showing them some home town appreciation for it!
By the way. That was the most entertaining blow out game I have ever attended. XU didn't let off the gas pedal all night!
