At halftime of tonight's IU-Purdue game, the question was asked of the ESPN commentators "which midmajor will go the farthest in the NCAA tourney-Butler, Drake, St. Mary's, or Xavier?".

The good news is that the answer was Xavier. The bad news is that we were part of the question.

Who were the knucklehead commentators? Sounds like they need to get with the times. Being ranked # 10, you would think this mid major thing should be past history by now.

Not again! I thought it was made clear last month that Xavier is not mid anything. Get Blurtasky on the phone with ESPN. Quick someone call Bobinski and tell him about theses clowns. I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion.

The problem with that Yahoo article is that it shows that 38 of the last 40 Final Four participants were from Big Six schools.

Screw 'em. I hope 4/4 of the final four is 'mid-majors' then. I think we should just refer to the non-mid majors schools as 'the over-rated programs'. Its just plain arrogance on their part.

You can't keep a foolish person from making foolish statements...and ESPN has those guys too.
