Another nailbiter!

Thank the coaching staff for making these guys shoot 100 free throws in practice.

Duncan - what a man! Perfect game and playing disciplined with four fouls, like Burrell in the previous game.

Let's hope Lav's ankle is ok.

I want a blow-out against Duquense. These close games are killing me!

We might have to start calling these guys the Kardiac Kids. (Yes, I know it's "cardiac", but it looks better this way.)

4 wins by a total of 12 points-I don't know how the players and coaches are holding up, but my heart is getting a workout!

Mr. N....

This team does what's needed. Down two and need a three.....Got it. Trying to close them out in the final minute with free throws..........done.

They are very solid. They don't rely on one guy as it will be Drew or Josh, BJ or CJ..........Stan shutting down the next "scalp".......(Thank you Mr. Baron).......

D. Brown or Jason Love making it happen in the paint. The team is very solid and very confident. Past Xavier teams would drop this game but this team has too many options.

And oh, yes..........this coach knows how to get it done on the road where the last 5 coaches would have dropped this game. Sean is here to write his only chapter and it's not over this after this year.

DWest, yes, the team has gotten it done, in very hostile environments, and last night with a subpar Lavender and foul-plagued Duncan.

That having been said, X has had, and lost, sizable leads time after time, and you're bound to fall off the tight wire sooner or later.

Yes, we're getting everybody's best shot, but we're losing these leads because of uncharacteristically silly turnovers. We go from a really smart, well-coached team to guys who have never played together before in the blink of an eye. It's bewildering.

I was a little worried when we lost the lead but keep in mind that these opposing teams aren't just going to lie down and let us steamroll them. They're well coached and make adjustments at half-time. To be honest, I did predict a 74-68 win yesterday on another post, and I never felt like we would lose this game. I don't think we'll win out the rest of the season but a close win is a win none-the-less.
