surprised X isn't #1, with the duke/unc teams of the world, oh yea, the coaches in college basketball don't agree with your greatness over Butler #8. Good luck vs. URI

I want butler in the sweet 16, but that's another story. Go away!

I usually go off of the AP poll simply because coaches already have their hands full with their own team, so how do they have enough time to pay attention to every other team and judge them in detail. I view the coaches poll as more of how coaches perceive programs instead of judging them by their merits.

Most of the time the pollsters just move people up if they win and don't jump people. Butler is just moving up because teams in front of it lost. The difference between an eight ranked team and a twelveth ranked team is minimal at best, especially when you consider how few votes we needed to be ranked 10th. I am a little surprised Wisconsin jumped us, but we had one game this week, and it wasn't impressive. Its nice to be ranked high, but the rankings don't matter. All that matters is the seeding and winning in the tourney.

What is even more interesting is Xaviers more impressive RPI, schedule, wins, and tournament resume which is noted in virtually every bracket projection where XAvier is given a higher seed than Butler.

I have no issue being #12. As for Butler #8, oh well. I respect Butler's backcourt, they can bring it. But I think X is a bad matchup for the Dawgs and could beat them. I think the A-10 made a mistake by having St Louis brought in and not Butler. The Dawgs, Dayton, and X would have made for a nice rivalry triangle on the wetsern rim of the conference. SLU should be in the 'Valley. I miss the trips to Hinkle. I bet Butler fans would agree with me. Wisc-Milwaukee, Loyola, Green Bay, and Valpo just does not create excitement.

I would gladly welcome Butler to the A-10. They would be a strong addition to the league.

Bump out Fordham, LaSalle, St. Bonnies.
