Dayton Daily News article on Chris Wright

Brian Gregory was quoted in a February 15th story in the DDN that Wright would be examined by the doctor on February 28th to see what he would be allowed to do next.
One would surmise that means he will not be cleared to play against XU on February 24.
At least the Flyers should have a healthy Brian Roberts and an uninjured Charles Little available for action against the Muskies.

I think it is smart to make sure he is alright for him to play because he is their franchise for the next four years. I wonder if he will get a trip to the NCAAs?

I hate to any kid injured, no matter who he is or where he plays, and I hate to see any coach play a kid who is hurt (see Matta re: Davis vs UC David's senior year.)
I am thinking that since Chris didn't play in an A-10 games, and his injury came on Jan 2 .. the NCAA would grant him a medical year of eligibility. But, if Gregory plays him in March in the A-10 tournament (assuming the Doc's cleared him to play) then they can kiss that appeal goodbye.

Playing in conference games has no bearing upon whether the NCAA grants a medical hardship. Chris Wright isn't eligible because he played in more than 20% of his team's games. Whether he plays another game this season or not will not alter his status.

Didn't know the 20% rule. But, having been injured on Jan 2, before the start of the second semester, I would think that he'd get a semester of extra eligibility ... then again ...

Joey, I can't believe you came back. Still looking for wagers on the 24th?
