I appreciate the recognition that quality basketball being played all over the country, but how in the heck is Butler ranked 10th in the country? They have played absolutely no one. Yikes, there needs to be an investigation.

I've thought this all season long. They scrape by a lot of very average teams.

The "real" baskeball team in Dayton....Wright State....beat Butler. I would love to run in to them in the tournament. They don't scare me in the least.

I'll be quite honest, I'm not exactly "scared" to see Xavier play any team this season. Certainly, there are a handful of teams that are formidable opponents, but I'd gladly put our squad up against anyone. As for Butler, I think we'd run them out of the gym.

Completely agree. This team escapes 2 near losses in the past 2 weeks @ valpo and @ UW-Milwaukeeand continually scrape by the almighty horizon league. How this team is #10 is beyond me. Probably that 20 something-2 record.
Anyways, they don't have an offense and play lousy defense. I would love to play this team in the tourney.

Be careful what you wish for. What happens to most Butler opponents is they see Butler in warm ups and figure, "these guys are so dorky looking, they can't be any good" Then Butler goes out and beats them because they have all these guys who can shoot from 25 ft. out, get hot and hit 14 or 15 3's. Imagine a team with 3 Kyle Korvers, good ball movement, and a good coach.

Conference games are hard to win. No matter what conference you are in. Remember when we barely beat St. Louis last week? I'm sure there were plenty of people saying the same thing about us that you all are of Butler. Sure, we could run them out of the gym. But I highly doubt it. They are basically the same team that went to the Sweet 16 last year.

no matter how many shooters they have, butler doesn't play defense and their offense consist of ball screens and penetration kicks to the wing. They don't have a big man and certaianly aren't athletic enough to run anyone up and down the floor.
Against a defense like ours, they wouldn't get near as many open looks as they have been getting in their league. UWM looked like a grade school team when it came to switching resulting in nearly all of butler's points at the end of the game.

if x played close to their potential, it would be a blowout. of course we all know what can happen if x plays bad...
there is no way butler is a top 10 team, probably not even top 25.
