Indiana won by 6 at Ohio State today. Also OSU only scored 53 points. Nice offensive game plan by Toucan's boy Groce.
As it goes forward and Beaknose gets farther and farther away from his Indy connections, while Sampson builds his, it will be interesting to see how well Pinocchio does. He's got a lot of competition for recruits on Ohio, including his former assistant at a little school in Cincinnati.

Re: Indiana takes down Ohio State
I watched the game and Matta's offense is 100% completely reliant on the 3 point shot. They have two 7 footers (well Hunter is almost 7 foot) and they don't even make an effort to get the ball inside. Matta is pulling in a bunch of 5 star recruits, but when they leave after one season, you start from scratch every year. For example, next year they lose Butler, but will also lose Kofous, who would eventually become a great college player. When your only recruiting guys that will stay for a year and then leave, I don't know that you can be that successful on a consistent basis.

Matta's other "Big" recruit, Dallas Lauderdale from up here in Solon is a stiff, pure and simple. I don't know if Koufas is going pro after this year, probably not. He's got a long way to go.
Point: Beaknose has always been too dependent on the 3 and he's even more now. He does not develop the diversity of offense that Sean Miller's teams have shown. I know that OSU is sort of young, but you still have Butler and Lighty with Hunter, Terwilliger and the alleged Ohio POY Diebler besides Koufas. I've watched them a few times and I only see a lot of lateral passing with a guy jacking a 3. Not impressive to me.

Re: Indiana takes down Ohio State
Guys,come on.....
I think Matta was/is an opportunist in the worst way, and what he did while leaving X was devious and disgusting. But the guy has been successful at every school he's been to, and took us the farthest we've ever been in the tourney. He/his staff are probably one of the top 2 or 3 recruiters in the country( already has 3 TOP 15 guys verballed for the 2010 class) He lost a ton from a National Championship runner up team. I'm no Matta apologists but the guy gets results.....
