Hawks' Nivins to miss game

St. Joseph's center Ahmad Nivins sprained his right ankle Monday in the second half of a 77-55 victory over Villanova.
The junior will not play tonight at Duquesne, the Hawks said. He did not travel with the team so he could undergo treatment.

Earlier this week, sophomore Rockwell Moody, a reserve who filled in for Nivins, left the team to concentrate on personal issues. Senior Arvydas Lidzius is an option at center.

Nivins' status for Sunday's game against 13th-ranked Xavier was uncertain.

Senior forward Rob Ferguson also turned an ankle in the second half against Villanova, but returned to the game.

D Dow is reporting that Nivins will travel to Cincy and appears to be a game time decision.
