Small steps are OK, going in the right direction!
URI #26, missed the Top 25 by 3 votes, which is how many Dayton got.

I guess no one remembers that we beat the team one spot ahead of us by 15. That's a little silly IMO.

I guess that means that Miami, Temple, and ASU should be ranked ahead of us??? Your analysis, I hope you know, is far too simplistic at this stage in the season. IU is solid. They are 18-3 and 7-1 in the Big 10 with losses only to us, UConn and #8 Wisconsin.
Do I think we are better? Hell yeah, but the fact that we beat them is only one element in a lot that are considered in ranking teams. If we had won any of our 4 losses we probably would be ranked ahead of them. Had we beaten UT we'd be a Top 10 team right now. So don't blame the pollsters.

Surpringly, IU has only one "good" win, over #47 Illinois State. They have NO "bad" losses (using the RPI's designations).
X has 3 "good" wins-Kent State, IU, K-State, and 2 "very good" wins-Dayton, UMass.
IU's SOS is #122 while ours is #42.
The more you look at it, there probably isn't any reason for IU to be ranked ahead of us. I thought I could make an argument for it, but I really can't.

Maybe IU's coach is buying votes.

No. He's text messaging to lobby the vote.
