Musketeer Madness

The February, 08 issue of Basketball Times features a cover with Drew, Brian Roberts, and Will Daniels pictured and a 2-page feature story on the A-10's resurgence.

I particularly loved the following in-story caption to the picture of a driving Drew Lavender:
"Xavier point guard Drew Lavender (below) - yet another senior vital to his squad's success - was named the rivals.com mid-major player of the week. The Musketeers - backed by out-going A-10 commissioner Linda Bruno, who seemed insulted by the honor - politely declined. Xavier Athletic Director Mike Bobinski said his program wasn't mid-anything."

Actually, since I'm originally from Louisville which is below the Mason-Dixon line, the accurate quote would be:

"Even a blind HOG finds an acorn in the forest sometimes."

Linda Blutarsky is "ate up with it." I do give her credit for, again, being a nice lemming and falling in line behind the outstanding leadership of Mr. Michael Bobinski.
