Musketeer Madness

This is a great rebounding team. I thought at the start of the year that this was going to be a major problem. It might have benn had not Coach Miller changed the lineup and rotation. But needless to say this team has a great rebounding margin for the season something like + 7 and we are just getting better. Coach Miller and the team have turned a problem into a strength! It is amazing that we have become so strong in this statistic.

There was some concern in the preseason that, after losing Cage, Doellman and Cole, our front line would be untested, and possibly not as productive in terms of rebounding. The guys have certainly stepped and given new meaning to the "rebounding by committee" phrase.

Brown, Love and Anderson are amazing on the boards. I would put them up against anybody in the country. One of the things I really like about Sean is that he recognized it and made the adjustment to the starting lineup.

Anybody have the rebounding totals per player for the season and who has led the most games in rebounds? I'll bet CJ is at the top in total rebounds and number of games with the most rebounds. He's always in the paint going for it.

CJ - 6
Duncan - 3
BJ - 2
Drew - 2
Love - 2

There were 2 games where they was a two way tie and there was one game where it was a three way tie. You might want to check my math.

The thing I've noticed in terms of rebounding is how many times there are two Xavier players around the ball. Only one guy gets credit but there are 1 or 2 other guys who could have gotten the ball before the other team.

I've noticed and I've been impressed.

So Lavender and Love are tied in games as the leading rebounder? Interesting. it is great to see Brown taking control, and CJ is a fighter given his size.
