This hit my inbox, and I thought it might be of interest. Now all we need is 4-5 guys like AH and Skyhops to fund the annual 20 mil.

Utter insanity is too kind a term. X has a scrimmage last Friday and people wonder at the poor attendance) Boomers and their money are a key donor class, but how many remain interested?

College sports is crazy. The rich get richer. I think football should get 80-90% of the N.I.L money. At most schools football pays the bills. Creighton, Marquette, Villanova St. John's and of course U Conn are spending a lot more than us and will continue to out recruit Xavier. Not sure we are willing to make the financial COMMITMENT to compete in today's N.I.L. world .That is why Miller left.

If football gets 80-90% of the 20 million the NCAA has deemed NILs will be, then Miller made the wrong choice because Texas is football. What X needs is a sugar daddy or more who wants to make sure X's NIL funds are fully funded. Any Billionaires out there?

The NIL Cap is a faux set of handcuffs. The collectives and 3rd party deals will still run rampant, especially at Texas. That $20M spread across all athletes just figures out how to get the scrubs paid. The big $ lies outside of that structure in the Power 4.

Jesseandrippers you hit the nail on the head. All kinds of 3rd party boosters and rich alumni are involved at the top of the basketball world.
