Where PRUDENTIAL CENTER IN NEWARK, N.J.
When: SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 2025 AT 2 P.M. ET

SETON HALL UNIVERSITY PIRATES (7-19, 2-13 BIG EAST)

TV/Stream: FS1 with play-by-play from John Fanta and analysis from Tarik Turner.
Radio: 55KRC-AM XU broadcast is also available on the Varsity Network and on Sirius XM.

Isaiah Coleman is their leading scorer averaging 15.2 ppg (last game against X he scored 19) he also averages 5.3 rebound. He is a 6'5" guard. Dylan Addae-Wusu is putting up 9.8 points, 2.8 assists and 3.3 rebounds per contest.
Garwey Dual is tops on his squad in assists per contest (3.0), and also posts 5.0 points and 1.6 rebounds. Defensively, he delivers 1.8 steals and 0.6 blocked shots.

A Xavier win is a necessity on Sunday, even though it would be underwhelming on the resume. Xavier is a combined 11-0 in the bottom two quadrants of the NCAA NET Rankings, so a Quad 3 loss Sunday would be catastrophic to X's tournament hopes.

Facing a team that is 12 games under .500, Xavier needs to send a message and cannot, I repeat cannot begin this game slow. X has done a great job setting the tone lately. Over its 3-game winning streak, Xavier has averaged 46 first-half points and shot 53.2% from the field (50-of-94). They need to do that and give Seton Hall no chance to believe it can win. As bad as they appear, Seton Hall beat UConn

Protect the ball. Seton Hall ranks No. 18 in KenPom in turnover percentage and No. 31 in steal percentage

X has to play Defense for 40 minutes. Sean said, "Xavier's ability to defend will define the rest of the Musketeers season and the team's chances of being invited to the NCAA Tournament." While Seton Hall struggles to score, X cannot let it believe it can hang with X.

Sleepy early start for us. Swain was responsible for 8 of Seton hall's first 10 points. He either runs under screens or right into them. He did have a nice steal. Need to go inside to Freemantle.

Excellent first half especially on defense. Conwell was feeling it. We are holding them to 29% shooting from the field.

Too many turnovers especially Swain and Freemantle. I think Conwell has turned into a very good defender. Careless ball handling. Twelve turnovers already. Foster is awful at feeding the post.

Conwell is hot today, with 15 of X's 40 points. It was a Nice first half, so let's not sleep through a second half. X is 6-13 from three, with Conwell having half of those threes. The D has worked well in the first half, turning SH over 8 times for fast break points and holding SH to under 30% from the field.

Swains sometimes slick dribbling, and it is also a turnover machine. Conwell and Swain have 3 fouls. SH is aggressive on D and fouling so much the refs have decided not to call some.

Telegraph pass Swain to Freemantle. After missing Freemantle a couple times he was trying to make sure Freemantle knew it was coming to him
