Boy Marquette is very good. Swain really hates contact. We cannot get any dribble penetration and that is supposed to be our strength

While this would be a very good defense, it is a very cold offense. It is 9-28 and 3-12, just the opposite of UConn The only person that played above the rim was Cam for his short stay in the game.

Atrocious finishing. Lack of interior presence is bad enough but in the last few minutes of the half we started getting some penetration and missed a number of layups. 2 missed free throws by Conwell in such a close game is brutal.
Those of you who were thrilled the entire frontcourt from last year (including 3 freshmen) departed: I hope you're happy.

Considering we went 5 minutes without scoring andConwell has not scored we should be thankful down only 5

Marquette looks like it has 10 guys on the floor at times, as very few open shots have been taken. They double and retreat, and their lateral quickness is outstanding. X must take some shots earlier in the passion as too many shot clock violations and last-second desprate shots have been taken.

This second half looks like what X has done to teams over the last few years: wear them down and then gradually run away. Foster has been an impact player for X. Ryan is MIA. Hard to beat a team shooting 66% in a half when you are turning it over.

They are just much better than us but why take Conwell out? I know not his best game but he should be in there

Conwell isn't taking shots when he is open now, and he is telegraphing passes for break-out scores for MU. We can't stop their 6'11" three-point shooter. It is going to take a herculean effort to pull this one out or a can't miss Ryan shooting 5 or 6 threes to get us back in it. Swain doing more might also help

We are so spread out that we are not picking up on the pick and rolls. Conwell has a big goose egg, let us hope that changes but it is tough when you are on the bench and tougher when you are not aggressive when in the game. It would be nice when Swain is getting fouled to dunk those attempts, MU is doing it.
