X dominated polls. Now they have to show it on the court.
Brown first team. CJ third team. Frease, Holloway, and Lyon? all rookie team.

As you point out, it's great pub, but now they have to live up to it. Like other posters, I wouldn't be surprised at all if X was inconsistent for the first few months of the season. We've got 3 key spots that will be filled by new players/starters, and the PG spot is just totally up in the air in terms of what we'll actually get out of that spot.

A year ago there were many many posts about whether we would be as good as the previous season after losing 3 key guys. Could the esteemed moderator please pull those threads up for historical reference? Seems to me we gelled in about 5 games.
Miller is the man. The players believe in him. He has the touch, he's in the zone: recruiting, developing and coaching game situations.
While I don't think the PG spot is settled, and agree that it may take some time to sort out the crunch time lineup, he has 15 games to do that. Barring key injuries, I'm thinking that we are once again prime time material in February and March.
We are going to get two or three crazy losses this year, like Miami last season, Duquesne the season before. We could easily lose 10 games. So what? This guy has teams ready when it counts, and I'm going to try to enjoy the season as a whole.
Chris Wright only getting 2nd team preseason seems ludicrous to me. The guy is a star.

Carlos, you're right in bringing up the fact that replacing Doellman, Cage and Cole seemed like a tough task for X, but college is a guard's game, and specifically a point guard's game. Last year, we brought back 2 senior guards, both 3-year starters. This year, our PG will likely be a freshman, backed up by another freshman.
Of course, if Crawford is eligible, that changes everything.

This has been the phrase of the offseason for us this year. They need to hurry up and make that decision already. It is really starting to get on my nerves.
