6:30 PM (becoming the dreaded tip-off time) Cintas Center
Granted the last game didn't excite the crowd or students but this game lets have the crowd and students bring the excitement. Maybe the team will respond
UC hasn’t won in Cintas in 22 years. They have not been in most of the game at Cintas in the last 14 years. KenPom picks the Bearcats to win 76-75 and rates the game a 50-50 coin flip. If there was ever a time to sneak up on a team. Lenny Brown magic or stomp them and put them in their place
Xavier has won 4 in a row in the game and a win could make X the first-time 5 game win streak against UC.
The Bearcats have been off since their last game Dec 3rd so they have a week to work on their shootout game plan. Viktor Lakhin(one of their better players) was struck by a car on Nov 30 but on Dec 3 he scored 19 points and dish 6 assists. He cried the last game when X beat them at their house. X will see an old foe in former Butler player Simas Lukosius who has made X's life miserable at times. Additionally, their team boasts 3 players 6"11, 7' and 7'1"
Uc is shooting 37.4% as a team from the three-point line. They shoot about 10 per game on average. They average almost 78 points per game, 41.7 rebounds, 17.6 assists, 7.1 steals their SOS is 96
Team ranking has X at 29 down from 14 and UC at 184 down from 175. Nolan SOS X 12 and UC 96

Shootout game thread
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Lakhin wasn't the one hit by the car. It was Lukosius.muskieman wrote: ↑Wed Dec 06, 2023 12:46 pm6:30 PM (becoming the dreaded tip-off time) Cintas Center

Wow, currently Vegas has this as a pick-em..
Did they watch the 2nd half vs Delaware??
Would have predicted UC -4.5 or so.

Re: Shootout game thread
I thought X-1. UC is much more experienced and talented at this stage and would be favored on a neutral court, but they do have Wes Miller. Law of averages may be on their side this year as they haven't won at Cintas in two decades. Then again, X is in a similar slump. We haven't won at the Shoe in over 350 days.X-lucidity wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2023 8:31 pmWow, currently Vegas has this as a pick-em..

Re: Shootout game thread
I don´t know what to expect from this game. I have never seen UC play but the scouting report indicates that their strength is in the front court which is our weakest area. They are also deep. I am thankful we have the home court and I hope the crowd is really into it which has not been the case thus far this year.Go X!!!

The have a huge advantage with their bigs especially with Gytis at the four. This would be a game we really need Hunter. Our only chance is to hit 3’s.

Very good start . The crowd and defense are into it. Bad 2nd foul by Claude. He has a habit of making silly fouls. Ousmane and Sasa with good starts.
fouling too much
