My buzz word for this years edition of X basketball is PATIENCE. I must keep reminding myself of that based on what I have observed thus far. I like our team but they have a big learning curve. To me it is obvious that Sean is feeling his way looking for the correct rotations. I hope that Green lives up to his reputation as a great shooter but right now he is just a shooter. Ditto for Olivari. Des cannot be the go to guy yet he needs more time. I also hope Lazar is the missing link. I watched Dayton play today and boy they are good. Grant did a terrific job coaching. His adjustments took the game from St. Johnś. Pitino seems to have the same issues as Sean does. I look forward to the feed back tomorrow from the chat board since I will be fast asleep. I guess I could pray for insomnia.

The game time is certainly a disservice to Xavier. Is it really necessary to play at 9PM Pacific? Seems to favor a west coast team. I assume practices or classes typically start early in the day. If true, that would likely translate to players not typically staying up late during the season. I certainly had no issues being up late as a student but wasn't on the team, could nap after class or skip class (depending on professor - some will actually lower your grade for missing too many classes - not a fan of that policy). Anyone have knowledge on when players typically call it a night?

At the end of the day, I would think players would get amped up for the game regardless of time but still don't love the start time.

Game time is less than 3 hours away. I hope the guys give Sean a great birthday present

X had 8 Turnovers shooting 44.4% from the field an 2/5 from three. Washington is shooting only 27.8% 1/12 from three. 18 foul shots, with only 11 made.

X leads 37-30 They need to protect the rock and make more foul shots. Washingon normally shoots about 32.8% from three

Xavier up 37-30 at halftime. Nemeiksa with 12 and Claude with 10 lead the way. Washington shot 27% from the field and 1-12 from the three point line. The three freshman ( Green, Swain and Ciani ) did nothing in the first half. Ciani did have three rebounds though. Djokovic got in and looked very skilled. He will be good. Ousmane got two quick fouls and barely played. Xavier was 11-18 from the foul line and should be up by at least 10-12 points We missed the front end of three one and one foul shots. OLIVARI had 7 points but was 2-8 from the field. Washington can't play much worse than they did in the first half.

Foul trouble foe Xavier. Ousmane and Mcknight picked up their 3rd fouls 2 minutes into the second half. Claude just got his 3rd foul with 15 minutes to go
