Georgetown thread or how the mighty has fallen

Postby muskieman » Thu Dec 15, 2022 10:47 pm

Came across this article while googling Georgetown info and WOW https://medium.com/@tamers.blurbs-0u/op ... 53ef58ab5d

Based on some of the games I have watched of GT this year my question would be will there be more than 1,000 fans in the stand this game and if so will the majority of them be X fans?
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Georgetown's starting lineup is made of mostly transfer portal players that are talented. This will not be an easy game as they have been playing better lately. Their size could pose a problem especially since we have no depth beyond Nunge, Free, and Hunter. GU getting 10.5 is way too much.

The first of many challenging Big East games on the road. I have watched GT a lot this year and I keep shaking my head after each game because they should win more. I think they are still trying to figure out each others role. I hope they don't come together tonight. It will be interesting to see who guards Spears & Akok. They could be tough match ups for us. I like our chances but being 10.5 pt. favorites on the road is too many. It would be a bad loss if that should happen but it ain't going to be an easy W.

I can not believe you guys on this post like Hunter. He is in my opinion the most disappointing player as an X player in a long time. He cannot shoot, pass, dribble and his b ball IQ is awful . Sean is doing all he can to bring this guy along and give him confidence but he does not have it. 4 fouls in the first half and y'all think he can play D. Too many team turnovers, Jack is too soft for a guy 7 foot . That will be a problem going forward but at least we do not have to worry about him getting into foul trouble. He does not get close enough to the other big guys around the hoop. Totally disappointed by the first half.

Awful call on Jack when their big guy travels first.

Souley just owns GT. What would X be without him this year...don't even want to think about it.

68% from the field and 59 points for X in the second half... I will take the win and who said 10 point spread was too big???

27 assists tonight
