I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Good for him and Xavier. Hayes is going to be a good coach and the domino's begin to fall. We find out who is here for Hayes and who is homesick for the south. Hope we don't lose Jones ( our best player ) and Edwards but I would be surprised if they stay. Now Miller can hire his assistant's and the team and recruits know where they stand. Not sure if any but Edwards would go to Georgia State. They did make the tourney though. Fremantle is probably gone too. Ward is probably not coming now either. Still i would hire Miller in a heartbeat even if we struggle this year. Good things are on the horizon. Go X.

I hope Hayes kills it at GA State and positions himself to comeback to X as head coach in a couple years.
Fine coach and great leader.

Congrats to Coach Hayes. Well deserved and a nice opp for him to seize. Probably a better scenario for X than had he taken the top Asst. position at Georgia. So now the fun really begins. Now that this piece of the puzzle has been fit in place, we should see the rest of the dominoes fall rather quickly. I would say that we should know by this Saturday who wants to stay and play for Coach Miller and who wants to explore the portal world.

That location of Georgia State makes me think he will attract a lot of transfers initially depending on who stays put. Atlanta is a good location to draw kids, and Hunter indicated as much. He's now got New Orleans to draw to.X-lucidity wrote: ↑Wed Apr 06, 2022 9:55 amCongrats to Coach Hayes. Well deserved and a nice opp for him to seize. agree Coach. But I meant specifically drawing from Xavier's current roster. In that GA St. would be a significant step down in competition and prestige for our returning key players.

Sorry to see him go, but 10 years as an assistant and seeing what he did in the NIT, he's ready to start his head coaching career. And if he can bring in his twin brother onto his staff, all the happier for him. wishing nothing but success for him (except if/when they play us).
