Xavier didn't SNIFF Matta for this. He was not the right guy at his age, etc to take over this Xavier program.

There's a long list of successful XU coaches that took bigger jobs (Gillen, Prosser, Miller, Mack). But none of them lied about it and snuck out the back door in the middle of the night.

Miller was fired from his last job and has NCAA troubles. Many around college hoops view him as toxic.

Matta has the health questions for sure. But he also has final fours and a National Championship game appearance.

Matta > Miller. By a long shot.
