coaching changes and possible changes in the BE
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Re: coaching changes and possible changes in the BE
listening to that "emergency" podcast with Rick B and Dan from Dana and Victory was interesting in regards to our staff. i would think Dante and Peters would be retained if they want to stay and Miller should do that. not sure on Jonas. if he gets offered top asst at an SEC school - UGA, FLA, etc then he's probably gone but maybe for keeping our recruits Sean may keep him as well. it's not like Sean has a staff he had that he wants to bring with him so this is different. they even discussed on the pod about Steele actually staying on staff as an asst. i give that about a 0.0% chance of happening. it just would not be right. however, he was BETTER in that role for X than he was as the head guy.
we shall see.
we shall see.

Without getting in to all details and reasons, I would like to see Creighton move out of the BE and another team closer to the EAST be added, if necessary.

As the Seton Hall head coach moves to the B10 Maryland, he recommends SH to hire the St Peters Head Coach to replace him. The St Peters head coach played at SH and also was an asst coach at SH before becoming the HC at St Peters.

Re: coaching changes and possible changes in the BE
disagree. Creighton is a Jesuit school with BE values and is a good rival for Xavier. And they have a good program (better than our right now) and a good coach.Xavier2005 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 22, 2022 10:41 amWithout getting in to all details and reasons, I would like to see Creighton move out of the BE and another team closer to the EAST be added, if necessary.

A bizarre statement...Creighton is an exemplary member of the BE...granted they are THE outlier as to miles from the East Coast, but then again, X isn't exactly "East" either. I live in NYS, and many people ask me "Where is Xavier?" Being a two time grad of X, I proudly explain...but, to think that Creighton is not suitable for BE membership is ridiculous.

I agree. Also, its no skin off our back as we travel 2nd least number of miles in the league, behind only Georgetown I think. Might expect this comment from some of the Big East purists, but not a newcomer from Cincinnati.PT71 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 27, 2022 1:07 pmA bizarre statement...Creighton is an exemplary member of the BE...granted they are THE outlier as to miles from the East Coast, but then again, X isn't exactly "East" either. Creighton is not going anywhere, great program. We are lucky to have them in the NBE...
Anyone else here rumblings of Gonzaga joining the NBE? I wonder if their conference hinders them from reaching the promised land.
Go X!
