No March Madness??? hmmmm
This week , mid December....already pro and college games are being canceled due to the Coronavirus within teams . It MAY be the beginning of a major out break of the Virus and more and more cancellations, which could lead to no March Madness. Yes, it is too early but games are being cancelled....again, as in 2020. The forecasts around the world are for the Virus to get worse during the winter months. The USA as of this week has put 84 countries on their advisory list of places NOT to travel to due to the Virus situations in those countries now. The Buckeyes today canceled their game with UK in Vegas for this Saturday because they have a virus situation within the team...???? UCLA canceled a game last night for the same reason...the virus. here we go....

Seton Hall canceled their game against Iona and already forfeited their Monday game against St Johns.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

It may be time to propose rule changes. If a team, 100% of players, is fully vaccinated with a qualifier of 3 vaccines if beyond 2 months of the 2nd shot, the game may be played including with infected players.
Chances of a serious medical issue is incredibly small when people are fully vaccinated. Yes transmission can happen but if the other person is also vaccinated then there is no issue. Vaccinated teams should not protect unvaccinated teams. Survival of the educated.

Omicron variant is suppose to be more contagious than the other variants. I hope I am wrong, but. I believe March Madness is more likely to not happen due to Covid 19. I also expect that X may may have to forfeit some games before the end of the season...again I hope I am wrong.

Xavier 2005, at this point it is all speculation. You choose to emphasize the most negative possibility.
Because big money is involved every effort will be made to go forward with the NCAA tournament.
Two subpar income seasons are difficult absorb.

75 days till the end of the regular basketball season then March Madness. Covid 19 is projected to spread and be more severe during the winter. As of 12-22-2021 some football Bowl teams are expected to cancel play ..Texas A & M is first to cancel for the Gator Bowl...saying they had only 38 out of 85 players available and cannot play. More are expected to cancel. This does not look good for Basketball.

This wave should be long gone by then. We will have basketball in March but may miss some games the next several weeks.Xavier2005 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 22, 2021 3:40 pm75 days till the end of the regular basketball season then March Madness. There is no need to test fully immunized people who have no symptoms. The NFL has got it right
