Freemantle MAY play Looks like the team may have everyone available

Series info: Xavier leads the series 2-0. The two haven't met since 1999. Central Michigan is the lowest-ranked KenPom team (316) on X's schedule

To date CM has played 6 games with a record of 1-5 with losses to Gonzaga by 53, Kentucky by 28, Missouri by 10, DePaul by 33,and Bellarmine by 7. Win over Eastern Illinois by 1. Former Kentucky assistant coach Tony Barbee is in his first season as the men's basketball coach at Central Michigan. The Chippewas rank No. 353 nationally in offensive rebound percentage at 17.6. They are not much better on the defensive glass either, ranking No. 326 at 34.9 percent. Jermaine Jackson, a 6-foot senior from Shelby Township, Mich., leads the team in scoring at 13.6 points per game. Jackson is off to a terrific start from three-point range, hitting 15 of 34 attempts for 44.1 percent. He's also at 87.5 percent from the foul line. 6'11" Harrison Henderson from Dallas is the only other CMU player averaging double figures at 10.8 points

OH did I say Zach Freemantel may play

AH and Sky will delight in this news that Hunter received the Gold Jersy for the first time.

Great to see Freemantle back. It will be interesting to see the new lineups that will make use of him as well as how we will defend using those new lineups.

this game SHOULD be well in hand after the first 10 minutes, but i'm gonna venture a guess that Freemantle may get single digit minutes (4-7 at most) each half. just my guess.

ease him back in for a game like this to get him ready for Saturday, where he should be able to play somewhere in the 14-18 min range as well. maybe a little more.

by next week he will be close to 100% but still gonna take awhile for him to be "in shape".

Free to Miles twice and both times fouls, shame Miles is so bad from the foul line. CM is a fouling machine

They finally play a zone and we go scoreless for 3 1/2 mins. Not sure Freemantle can guard the 4. Less Kunkle shooting 3’s and more Nunge

I bet we are a zone most of the Big East. Johnson is a major upgrade over AK.

Way to go Sky, picking on Zach in his first game back playing 4 minutes. How about waiting for a few games when he is in-game condition before making comments

Ugh! Lots of talent on this team but in some ways, that depth is also a weakness. Seems like everyone on this team has the greenlight and they all take advantage of it.

Not much of a game mostly because the Chippewas pretty much suck. But I don't think this team will fare well in B.E. play if we don't make much better decisions around shot selection + turnovers and if we don't rebound better on the offensive glass. We shoot early in the clock, often a three, if we miss without second shot attempts, we have to get back on defense. If we don't improve, that decision making will bite us in the butt.
