And to think, a few short months ago there were a few people on the Board which dismissed Loyola (Chicago) as a legitimate Program.
Should point out that the on-campus Gentile Arena, while very nice, seats only 5,000.

They seem to be doing fine where they are at. Low overhead, good results.

Nah, Depaul has been a more consistent program the past 30 - 40 years or so. Plus, their arena is 2x the size. Loyola needs to show more sustained growth and consistency before going to BE. Even a stint in the A-10 would help.

DePaul has been consistently below average as a program beginning when Ray Meyers and his son were no longer the head coaches. It seems strange that the Blue Demons haven't done better since then considering the amount of great High School basketball in Chicagoland!
Fathers James Hoff and Michael Graham, AD Mike Bobinski, and Head Coaches Staak, Gillen, Prosser, Matta, Miller, & Mack represent a Golden Era of Xavier Men's Basketball. AD Christopher and Head Coach Steele will bring us to an even higher level!

Will never catch me defending Depaul. Reality is that both programs are pig. Loyola is no upgrade and should not be in the Big East.
