I am NOT an insider with inside info. But I strongly believe a major Division One program will hire Pat Kelsey , soon after Winthrop loses in MM. Kelsey's winning record at Winthrop and his low 6 digit salary will make him an easy hire elsewhere.

Pitino coached for 8 seasons and Miller for 4 seasons. As for Ron's pick of Kelsey, there are other names that Minnesota would look at like Dennis Gates Cleveland state from a higher ranted conference. As for DePaul, who fired their coach today, they could look right across town Porter Moser who is also successful and gone much farther in the NCAA.Xavier2005 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 9:51 pmHow many Division 1 schools will fire their coaches in 2021???? and move on??? I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

One donor put up the $10 mil to fire Miller at IU. One other donor has put up the money to cover the cost of hiring a new coach. We don’t have deep pocket donors like that. The local press here in Indy is pushing for Brad Steven’s but I don’t see it happening.Xavier2005 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 9:51 pmHow many Division 1 schools will fire their coaches in 2021???? and move on??? i've seen that from exactly ZERO college basketball writers who are reporting on the candidates who have been contacted for certain jobs. kelsey's name hasn't come up once so if i missed it somewhere, feel free to share a link on where this is coming from. if it's just you SAYING both schools have reached out, then don't bother.
thanks.
