Tandy transfer portal

From the Enquirer beat, Steele's quote somewhat interesting re: "anybody leaving":
Every offseason comes with changes and one of those changes was announced Monday when Xavier sophomore KyKy Tandy entered the transfer portal, the school confirmed to The Enquirer.
There were questions all season long about Tandy, a 6-foot-2 guard who was an All-Big East freshman team selection last year but saw his playing time largely disappear over the course of this season.
Tandy played in 25 games as a freshman, averaging 18.4 minutes and 6.7 points per game. As a sophomore, Tandy played in 18 of Xavier's 21 games and averaged 14.7 minutes and 6.6 points.
"Everybody wants to play and it's hard to play everybody," Xavier head coach Travis Steele told The Enquirer Sunday night when asked about possible transfers. "It's impossible. Listen, I love all of our guys and I'm very appreciative of all they've done and all they've sacrificed just to make this season a possibility. But everyone wants to play and there's only so many minutes and there's only one basketball. We wish anybody that does decide to leave the best of luck moving forward."

The used car salesman strikes again. Has there been a coach in recent history lose so many players? It was originally about practice yet our worst player Carter hardly practiced recently yet plays all the time. Steele has decided on Kunkel vs Tandy, unreal.

So much hype coming in and he showed a lot of promise last year. We may never know what the issue here was.I heard the dad was difficult but you had to have known that coming in. Steele has had a lot of misses. Granted a lot of the guys who have transferred haven't done a whole lot since they left.

Who's next? And where is rock bottom for this program? Total dumpster fire in Norwood.

O.K. Only so many minutes and just one basketball. That clears up my questions. I'm good.

What a stupid quote. He had a promising freshman year. Seems like dumping this asinine "Xavier Way" might help, if that's really what kept Tandy from playing more.

He did not like Tandy and his dad. In a few years when he is coaching an NAIA team he can think about starting Carter and Kunkel.

More of the usual from Mr. Predictable. Gotta improve. Gotta get better players. Gotta gotta yata yata. Gotta figure it out, but in No Way, of course, am I responsible for any of these walls falling down around us.
Well, but I ask why did you try to beat Butler by putting only four players on the floor plus (he who shall not be named)? Did you not notice that Butler was using five players? I blame your staff for not informing you.

We had another player whose father wrecked his son's career not only made X miss out on a player that almost came to X until the father went crazy.
The other player turned out to be superior and ran rings around X's player.
I am always sad when X loses a player and Kyky is no exception. I wish him well but one thing Kyky...you are not the only player on the floor and your game is not a finished project yet, I hope your ego doesn't get in the way of your talent
