X from Bubble to 8 seed just by winning 1 game..lol

Xavier before beating Creighton was a bubble team , needing to play in as a final 8 teams in to March Madness. Now CBS Brackets has Xavier as an 8 seed playing a one seed and definitely in. Of course that all could change again....the seeds are still a moving target for many teams.

with the loss to Georgetown, Xavier is back on the bubble big time. X is now either among the first 4 teams OUT or as a play in team, among the 8 teams that has to play its way in to the field of 64.

most of what i've seen has X as still squarely IN, meaning not having to play a "play-in" game. win at Marquette and don't get blown out in your BE tourney game and i think we will be ok. win at Marquette and win one BE tourney game and i'm not sweating on Sunday at all.
but really, just focus on beating Marquette because if we don't we probably have to make the BE finals to get in.

I thought we had to go 2-1 in our last 3 games(with one of the wins against Creighton) to make and I still feel so but I also thought Gtown was an easier win than Marquette. This has the seem feel as last year. We had beaten Gtown on Sun on national tv and then lose 3 straight games to close out the season. It's mind boggling how we can come out totally flat in a game we know we need. I'm still hoping for the best otherwise we'll probably need at least 2 wins in the BET. Go X!

X should not make the tourney unless they win 2 more games. Win 2 and lose close the next tourney game and they will likely be dancing. Winning 3 is certainly advisable.

the BE is projected to get only 4 teams in to March Madness. Based on recent performances of X, I do not see X has 1 of the 4 teams from the BE. If X makes the final game in the BE tournament, then they might be considered. But I do not see that happening.
