Adrion Graves has requested and received his release from the Xavier basketball team.

Pretty much the same as on the Xavier site.
I would guess that he saw the writing on the wall and decided he couldn't get the playing time at X that he wanted so he decided to go elsewhere. I wish him the best.
PS - I deleted J's post as garbage.

Sean: "Adrion represented himself in a class manner at Xavier. He was a great teammate on two championship teams. We all want him to be successful in his future."
"class" .. "great teammate."
Says a lot about Adrion.
We have to remember that in his Freshman year Sean described him as a "scoring machine." Then AG got very ill, some type of blood disorder if I recall, so his first season was lost. And I think, he never got back to the level expected two years ago.
Nevertheless he is well on the way to his degree, and I am sure that Sean will find the right place for him to start over.
I wish AG all the best and I look forward to following the rest of his career.
BTW .. good job Shadow .. posts like "J's" need to be deleted more often.

I put this thread up as a counter to EJs thread. I left EJs thread up just like I let people that talk out of their none verbal hole talk because it exposes their garbage.

Take this on impeccable authority:
This is a very unfortunate scenario, but it definitively did not occur from anything that happened- intentionally, or unintentionally- as a result of any thing that was said or done by Sean Miller or the coaching staff. Anything that implies that Adrion was forced out, "encouraged to leave", that he had lost his standing as a result of new arrivals or anything of the sort from the basketball program is patently false. Everyone was looking forward to him being an integral part of this program for the next two years. Nothing here besmirches the program in any way.
Good luck to Adrion as he moves on. He's been through, overcome and accomplished a lot. Let us all hope that he finds the right place for him for the next stage of his career life and career.

While none of us were involved in the decision, I have to agree with MOR on this. Nothing I've seen anywhere confirms any "forced out" scenario, and there are hints at other factors that played into Graves' decision.
We all wanted to see him succeed at X, and wish him well at his next school. If he can get that good-looking shot to start dropping, and pick it up on D, he can definitely help somebody.

sometimes people should not listen to their friends just because they are telling them what they would like to hear.

Absolutely, mm. My friends tell me that I'm good looking and that I can dance, so you know they're full of sh*t. (Of course, they're tipsy when they say it, and they're just doing it to see if I'm dumb enough to believe it, which, fortunately, I'm not.)

tipsy, or are they your blind friends?
