No March Madness??? for many reasons...?

Postby Xavier2005 » Tue Nov 24, 2020 11:42 am

Long story very short. Was listening to a "so called college basketball expert" on the radio today 11-24-2020. He said he expected March Madness to NOT happen due to the Virus conditions getting worse and teams will be over exposed playing the regular season games. Meaning the players are not social distancing and all over each other without masks. Thus likely to catch the virus. Maybe up to 7 good players per team, most likely to catch the virus Even if the teams get through the regular season there will be a lot fewer games played, maybe 15 games or less. Thus not all the best teams will be selected and a lot more disappointed teams will not make the Dance. Even if the Dance is all in Indiana as proposed.....the expert expects players to get the Virus under the Bubble conditions. Going to be an ugly College Basketball Season per the so called expert.

I would follow Immunologists and other ID docs. Most models are showing a peak in first week of January and then tapering out into March to what our typical levels have been. Risk is more during the adjacent weeks vs. a March tournament.
