Xavier (38 in the NET) or Seton Hall (22) with a Quadrant 1 victory on the line. X needs to defend home Turf. Myles Powell, who averages 21.2 points and is a consistent 3-point shooting. The Pirates (10-4, 2-0 Big East) have height with 7' 2" center Romaro Gill, but they do not have Sandro Mamukelashvili because he fractured his wrist. Seton Hall's offense is more productive than XU's by virtue of Powell, Quincy McKnight (11.1 ppg) and Jared Rhoden (8.1 ppg, 6.7 rpg)

KenPom gives XU (12-3, 1-1) a 54% of winning this game and the margin for error is razor-thin. The Pirates' defense is ninth nationally per his site to Xavier's No. 20 and the teams both allow just 64.2 points per game.

Time to beat the preseason favorite to win the league

I have never seen a team as big as Seton Hall which wasn't an NBA team. 7'2"-7'2"- 6'11" and the 6'11" guy looks normal compared to the 7'2" giants.

missed opportunities, turn overs at the worst time, and the plus 7 footers with 8 blocks which felt like double that.

SH shot 60% from the field in the second half to a team that Steele said could be the best defensive team in his time at X. Scruggs looked like he had never been in a close game at the end tonight. I continue to scratch my head with the decision making and play of Q and Naji. Scruggs was yelling at Tandy quite a bit today as well. Steele needs to step it up because we are heading to the NIT if not.

he yelled at him to take the open shot which he passed up a number of times. It was one of these games that X could just never climb the mountain. A lot like when Tre and JP were at X when other teams made comebacks that never got a W because when they got close Tre or JP would hit a three or two

too Much experience for Xavier to continue to make the same boneheaded plays. We will be .500 at best in the Big East.
