NET NCAA ranking 83 to 71...on the Bubble??

After beating St John at St John ....Xavier's NCAA Net Ranking jumped up from 83 to 71. Both Butler at a 55 ranking and St John ahead could push X into the top 68 with wins, especially at Butler . Xavier can clearly edge itself into The Dance with 2 more regular season wins and 1 or 2 wins within the BE Tournament. wow what a flip flop from 6 straight losses to 5 straight wins. Focus...one game at a time.

Yes...... Let's not get out over our skis too far. Good info above '2005. At least we now have a few meaningful games to close the season when just two weeks ago it appeared we would simply be fodder for real teams to move past. In short, X is already in the dance, in that, every game is a one 7 done or survive & advance. Pressure and tense, but better than what the Cincy Reds typically do each September....

not gonna lie - March is so much more fun when X is "relevant" and they've played their way back into relevancy.
i'd say this: 1. two more reg season wins and 2 wins in the BE tourney - we are IN.
2. two more reg season wins and 1 win in the BE tourney and we will be sweating on Selection Sunday.
that's just my take.
let's just win at Butler first.

I tend to disagree. X seems to do better in the tourbey when it is not expected. When we carry those higher seeds, we seem to continually come up disappointed. Just fight into the dance and enjoy the ride if it happens.

If X wins next 2 and 1 in tourney they are IN! Unless someone besides Villanova or Marquette wins tourney and that would be bad.

BE will get 4 bids. At least.
Here is the 5 year history of bids -
2014 - 4 bids
2015 - 6 bids
2016 - 5 bids
2017 - 7 bids
2018 - 6 bids
Agree if X wins next 2 - I think they get in even if they lose in the 1st game of the BET.
Win the 1st of the BET, they card is punched. No doubt.
But nothing matters if they don't beat Butler.
One game at a time.
