So it seems. Thankfully, Nova has carried the rest of the members on its back, particularly the last 3 years, so the league still owns 2 of the last 3 titles.

The league lost a lot of really good players.Could be an off year for everyone.Marquette got hammered by IU and they are expected to be one of the top teams

Nebraska hammered Seton Hall too. So far, only GT has a win in the Gavitt Games.

I determined after Villanova won the National Title and the rest of the Big East Teams failed in the NCAA Tournament ...that this year would be a big downer for the Big East. ..and especially Xavier. So far, this appears to be true. Xavier was picked to finish 6th in the BE. Villanova lost its best players and this year is not itself. Xavier lost its coach and its best players . The BE will be lucky to get 4 in the Dance. I expect the BE to get 3 teams in the Dance and Xavier will not be one of them. It may take X 2 to 3 years to recover.

man, i thought i was being a "downer" after the Wisconsin game but 2005 takes the cake.

sheesh. get off the ledge and come back to reality. it's not even December yet.

2-3 years to "recover" from what? the loss to Wisconsin? the coaching change?

c'mon, man.

Big Least is 2-5 and most weren't even close. Can St. John's make it look sorta respectable? Hope everyone in the Big East can improve during the season... Dan

Nova beaten by Furman. Who would have thunk that?
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.
