Rivals is almost as outdated as the Cincinnati Post. KyKy's rankings now range between 80-90 nationally. Also, they failed to mention in the article that Mentor number One posted, that Florida also offered, and Louisville and UK were hot on his heels until his dad tweeted Lavar Ball type comments. Like Lonzo, you can't pick you dad.
I like the pick, and feel he is going to be a very impactful player. Steele continues to impress. Now, time to look for a wing. Not sold on Gardner, but admittedly am only going by his rankings, and the teams that recruited him. I'd prefer X hold on to the scholly for a higher caliber player, or grad transfer, with all due respect to Gardner.

Steele sees Gardner as a Justin Cage type, tough do it all type of player. From all I’ve heard the staff agrees and really likes him. If he is Cage-like I’m all for it.

Love the #10 ranking but obviously that will change as other schools complete their rosters. The coaching staff has been impressive thus far. Hopefully in game coaching will be on par with recruiting and X has its best days ahead.
Cage wasn't the most talented X player but he definitely helped the team win. He also owned Greg Oden and sealed X's win had the officials made the proper call. If the team has enough scorers and shooters than a Cage type player is a key piece to building a complete team.
