One Big Difference Between XU and ud

Postby vee4xu » Sat Jan 26, 2008 2:49 pm

There are many differences between the two programs. Too many to summarize here. But, one big difference is how the two teams play in lopsided games. When X lost to both ASU and Temple, the players kept trying and the coaches frantically kept coaching. Conversely, from where I sat this past Thursday, ud's star player quit, the rest of the team quit and their midget coach let it happen and quit with them.

The next time some among us chastise our team for getting beaten, or even blown out, remember the XU vs. ud game on 1/24/08. Xavier's men's basketball team is a proud bunch and fights even when things are not going well. That kind of grit shown by X starts with the head coach, just like ud quitting starts with the midget.

It isn't always how well the team plays during wins, but how hard they compete when they lose.

GO X!

Prior to reading your post I thought you were simply going to say, "Xavier wins a lot and UD doesn't."

Or maybe "Xavier gets good recruits and UD doesn't."

Or perhaps "Xavier goes to the NCAA and wins games and UD doesn't."

Or just "Xavier has a VERY good program and UD doesn't."
