X still need to fill scholarships. As of right now we have Gates, Jones, Q, Naji, Scruggs, Harden and incoming Walter, James and Kennedy.

so X needs 4 more spots WHO WILL BE FOUND? Travis said he was looking for 1 or 2 more in his press conference today. I hope he finds more than 2

Hoping for Marlon Taylor and Zach Hankins. If Zach Johnson becomes available, would absolutely take all three

Steele said there is NO WAY he's filling 13 scholarships next year (at least 13 guys who are all eligible to play). He said "you can't play 13 guys and they all want to play."

that may mean getting 1 or 2 guys who are ready to step in and 1 or 2 transfers who have to sit a year. that's fine with me.

we need a big and a shooter who can contribute immediately. get them both, then find a transfer or 2 who can help for 2 more years.

That's why I love this board as you guys on this thread are spot-on.. Need a "big" and a "scorer", hopefully that scorer is proficient also from beyond the arc. The "big" needs to hopefully be a 5th year senior with experience and immediate eligibility. Prefer that with the scorer as well but a 4 star frosh would work - D-1 or Juco exp is more vital with post players. For those in the know, with Skyhops' like sources , please keep us dweebs alerted! I agree with Coach Steele, only need 2 that can play right away although 3 would be better as would supply insurance against injury/classroom issues. So Hardin is staying right? Hopefully he realizes the incredible opportunity and works hard this summer.
Finally, I was impressed with Travis yesterday. His demeanor looked awesome and he seems pumped and excited beyond belief - which I love to see. Passion means a ton at this level. At the end of the day, I give Christopher and the X brass an A+ in this process as the dust has settled. I was skeptical that they were prepared for what we all saw coming a mile away, but seems they were and handled this with grace and professionalism.

now we need someone like Zach Johnson which would be a take away from Louisville and the Zags. I'd also like Abdul Lewis as a Forward he looks like he could fit in with the BE play

Keeping Matt Jennings was huge.
Mack brought him from Wake Forest when he came here - my recollection
As well as keeping Mario and Jeremy
He got a big in Hankins from D2 national champs - Ferris State.
The kid can play
Now get a shooter.
And Eli in the weight room and make Q, Scruggs and Gates shoot a 1,000 3's a day
