As long as CM leaves and we have our new head coach before the new season begins (after the NC game). I don't think it will hurt recruiting anymore than we've already been hurt. With CM leaving and possible Steele, I would imagine that any potential targets we had will move on to other schools. So whoever the new coach is (unless it is Steele) will most likely have to start from scratch in terms of recruiting.

Recruiting...??? to be simple...lol...who recruited the players at Chicago Loyola???? The players at Loyola were not at the top of the BIG 5's list but they have beat some of the best and are in the FF. There are 3 other teams that were seeded 11 and reached the FF. An 8 eight seed that won the National title. 3 Xavier teams that made the Elite 8 and were just one step from the FF. Calipari recruited the best of the best freshmen for 9 years at Kentucky and won one National Title in 9 years. So recruiting is just about finding the right guys that can work together to win...and then March Madness is luck and skill. Who ever the new coach is....he can find some first tier players and teach them work together to win . Xavier has been Elite 8 and many Sweet 16s without having the best of the best per analyst's views which mean nothing...ask Calipari??? He had the best of the best for 9 years and what did it get him? very little?? X will succeed again...
