The lowest seed to ever make the Final Four..is an 11 seed ....four teams were 11 LSU, VCU, George Mason, and now Loyola of Chicago. The lowest seed to ever win the National Title is an 8 seed...the 1985 Villanova.

Thank God there's a thread about something other than Chris Mack going or staying. Loyola can become the 1st 11 seed to make the Championship game. All the other 11 seeds lost in their Final 4 matchup. And for the XU fans clamoring to reach a Final 4 - would you rather be LSU, VCU or George Mason - of course not. Loyola of Chicago (thinking on that one as this is their 2nd Final 4 & they did beat UC to win it all . Villanova - probably so.
